Silliness of the Charismatic movement

Bob Larson is offering a 21 question Demon Test® for only $9.95. On his personal website the headline reads “Spiritual Freedom Church” with a registered acronym “DWJD®.” If the Demon Test® were not bad enough Larson’s daughter and friends have the site ‘Teenage Exorcists‘.

Why is this test a helluva deal? Satan will take your soul for free, but to pay $9.95 for a “Demon Test®” to dabble where Jesus has not called Christians to dabble is a deal from hell. Larson may laugh all the way to the bank while Satan laughs at the opportunity to play on peoples’ gullibility.

Larson’s acronym “DWJD®” is also his sign-off on the test site – Doing What Jesus Did. The problem is that Larson is not doing what Jesus did.

A few differences between what Larson does and what Jesus did with demons.

Jesus did not charge people to deal with demons.
Jesus did not use any kind of demon test.
Jesus did not hold a cross and Scriptures to a person to exercise demons.
Jesus did not refer people to ” inner healing and deliverance teams.”
Jesus did not exclusively tie demon possession to “anxiety, emotional exhaustion, anger management, rejection and abandonment issues, health challenges, and spiritual oppression.”
Jesus did not tie demon possession to the ” job you need” or “the relationships you desire.”

Bob Larson is ridiculous! I remember listening to his stupid radio show. Pure nonsense. I even read his book Dead Air and couldn't believe what this guy believes. It seems a lot of Pentecostals like to use the books "this present darkness" and "peircing the darkness" like a spiritual text book of sorts. Man, I heard one pastor say he doesn't shake hands with people or let them touch his kids because he doesn't want demons to be tranfered by the touch.
