Invasion of Other Gods

Charismatic Chaos

Having read both books I can tell you that there are some very strong similarities between New Age & the Word of faith or Third Wave movements. Does anyone disagree? I ask because I have mentioned both books on FB many times and have said that the WOF movement has much new age, especially when talking about healings, angels feathers falling from the sky, ravens being symbolic for something or some vision, stories of Jesus appearing in a church, stories of people whom claimed to have been to hell or heaven and then came back, and so forth.

Would say very close, as word of Faith originated from a man called kenyon, who held to a Christian Science approach to the bible God and man!

basically BOTH deny the natures of God and man, and find that man is a potential "little god", made in image of big God, and that by tapping into faith forces/principles etc...
You become your own god, control your own reality!

I don't believe that New Age claims to be Christian; the Word of Faith people do. Haven't heard too much lately about New Age but as long as Trinity TV exists we will have Word of Faith con artists fooling the people.

That would be E.W. KENYON

The WOF folks consider him to be the Father of the WOF teaching. He preceded Ken Hagin Senior, who preceded Kenneth Copeland.....

And the rest is history (unfortunetly)

Very dangerous teaching, in more ways then one.

Thats because they do not call it New Age, as its integrated in the culture, but the values are all there. I still see tons of new age principles and doctrines taught in the culture, but just not called New Age.

yes, as the wof and health/prosperity teachings have spread into churches, and basically elevates man to being a "little god", and that jesus was more like first human to learn how to fully walk in and apply Kingdom principles of the faith Kingdom!

Fixed. I couldn't resist.

WOF and other horrible things have gone on long enough because "your average Christian" is biblically undernourished or malnourished.

Also. there are demonic supernatural beings pushing their doctrines thru months on their 'false prophets/teachers!"
