British space physicist Richard Harrison is warning that a lack of solar activity could lead to a new mini ice age such as occurred in Europe in the 17th century when the River Thames in London froze often.

Harrison obviously hasn't gotten the memo that that was the agenda 35 years ago, but has been abandoned for a different scare tactic.

Quite right. American science is so political because the universities live off of federal tax dollars. Hence, we are not putting out stories in this country about solar activity in spite of the three feet of snow here in Indianapolis since the first of December and the bitter cold winter, not to mention the drought in California. Another example of American scientific backwardness, as you know, it the constant barrage of phony evolution stories from our geology departments in spite of advanced scientific knowledge of DNA, etc.

Our universities probably will churn out more global warming stories because that is which side the federal government will butter their bread.
