Have you ever noticed what happens when a new person joins a church? Usually one of two things.
First there is the person who bids their time. Looks for opportunities to get acquainted and slowly becomes part of the body.
Then there is the one who swoops in, is readily accepted, and takes their place in the body quickly.
There is much success in the first method and varying degrees of it with the second.
That being said, I'm more inclined to be like the latter rather than the former. Probably this is true of most Pastor-types. But I have poked around on the board here for some time and thought now was a good opportunity to join.
I have been in ministry for 18 years, I'm married with 8 children and have been pastoring for the first time in the last 5 years.
I look forward to the fellowship and information gained through this site.
