Small plane hits building...

Sounds like some nut. It was reported that he first burned his own home down before leaving to do this, and had some type of beef with the IRS.

Just my choice. It is frustrating to be hard-of-hearing, have a deaf wife, and deal with the glorified Keystone Cops called the TSA. Anyone who is "handicapped" gets extra scrutiny. The last time we went through my wife was hassled because she could not understand the instructions of the KC who was shouting at her (that really helps :rolleyes:) while I was trying to shepherd our carry-ons, shoes, wallets, purse, etc. Driving may take me an extra day or so but I arrive much more relaxed.

Sorry to hear about what you are put through, and it makes sense to avoid if can. I just didn't understand how it related to the OP?

I had a very hard of hearing student so set up a wireless mic/earphone/amplifier system for him. The instructors would put the mic on the podium and he could hear lots more of what was said.

One day I was getting very into my lesson and smacked the podium for effect --- thought he was going to hit the ceiling he jumped so bad :laugh: I promised to try to control myself :thumbs:

The relation is that the TSA and our beloved HSA Director will find more hoops for the flying public to jump through. Now they will target private pilots.

Earlier this week I read where the TSA at the Philadephia International Airport forced a young boy who had to wear metal leg braces to remove his braces before they would "scan' him.

His parents protested but to no avail.

At any rate, back to the topic of the OP. It seems this man had real issues with the IRS and on a posting on the internet told the world [before this "manifesto" was removed on the FBI's request] that he intended to do something "violent" about it.

It'll be interesting to see what the DHS/TSA or FAA will do in response to this.

I watched the news last night and watched the building burning and some parts of it looking like it was crumbling. It TOTALLY brought to mind 9-11 and the conspiracy theorists who say that a huge jumbo jet should not have made those buildings collapse. But I watched this building almost doing the same thing from just a Piper. Huge size difference - very similar looking results.

I wonder if the far out talking heads with their sensational, negative messages help push some people over the edge, like this fellow?

I heard that he may have packed something into the plane with him to give it more 'punch' when it hit the building.

One cannot compare the size of an airplane to a World Trade Center tower and compare the size of an airplane to the Austin office building and eliminate the questions about what really happened on 9/11/2001.

But just like the murder of President Kennedy we will never have the truth confirmed. All we will have is theories.

All one has to do is go through an audit with the IRS to be pushed over the edge.
