So this is the Republican's October surprise?
I'm not dismissing it entirely but the story is full of holes.
Who brings three computers in for repair and never comes back to pick them up?
The FBI got the computer in question in December 2019. Why no news about the investigation? Could it be there is nothing to report?
The emails in the NY Post story look like photographs of a word processor formatted document; they do not look like an email document. Where is the full email header information?
The email in question thanks Hunter for giving the person an opportunity to meet Joe Biden. It never explicitly says a meeting took place nor does it say what allegedly happened at that meeting.
The owner of the computer shop is legally blind and could not positively identify the person that brought in the computers as being Hunter Biden. The identification of Hunter Biden is based on a sticker for the Beau Biden Foundation placed on the laptop computer.
The owner is being very evasive about answering questions insinuating that his life is in jeopardy. (Actually, he's probably never been safer now that the story is public--who would mess with him now? It would add credibility to his story.)
The computer shop owner makes a cloned copy of a customer's hard drive and has an intermediary hand it to Rudy Giuliani's lawyer. (Copying someone else's hard drive is ethical?) The person that allegedly handed off the cloned hard drive is not identified. Why not? What's done is done, threatening this person is useless.
Rudy Guiliani has had this hard drive for months and months and only now, just three weeks before the election he goes public with it? I wonder how many places he had to shop it around before the NY Post ran with it?
Let's just admit that this is a fishy story. Any and every story like this that has come out about Trump has been roundly dismissed by the Trump faithful. Why Trump supporters would jump on this story as if it were gospel truth after so many other experiences with Fake News is inexplicable.
These are all very good questions that should be answered to judge credibility of story. You forgot to mention the owner is admittedly a repub.
You made several errors, however. The Bid:n campaign first stated no such meeting occurred, but changed the denial the next day saying there may have been a brief meeting. They do not deny the info is accurate. All we need is H:nter to issue a statement saying it’s not him, or FBI saying the info is not credible, which is why it’s not acted on.
The owner claims the laptop was dropped off in April 2019 for repairs, and was never picked up. I don’t know the law, but it seems if property is abandoned for some length of time ownership is transferred to the person with the unpaid repair bill. It was at that point the contents were examined and the info was discovered and the hard drive copied, and given to the FBI in December 2019.
The report is the man tried for several months this year to contact someone in repub leadership with this because he saw no response from FBI. Finally, the info ended up with R:dy in September; not months and months ago, but about a month.
There is no doubt the timing is an “October Surprise”, and there many questions that need to be asked, but if this story is true, B:den is severely compromised.
peace to you
