Smoking in NY State

Effective 13 Nov 19, in NY State, sale of tobacco will be prohibited to anyone under the age of 21.

Possible exceptions would be Military Reservations, and some (but not all) Indian Reservations.

Some nations have agreements with NY State to sell American Cigarettes (Marlboro, Winston's, ect) Those Nations will
have to abide by the State law at age 21.

Nations that only sell Indian cigarettes (Seneca, Niagara, ect) may not be required to honor the age limit of 21. I am not sure
about this - the law was just signed - so I am waiting to hear more.

When I was in High School it was very easy to get marijuana and other illegal drugs. This prohibition by NYS on cigarettes for those under 21 will I assume follow the same pattern.
