I was baptized in a baptistery in the Old Line Baptist Church I help build... Were you baptized in a creek, a river, a pond, a lake, the Pacific Ocean (don't laugh I know one who was) in San Diego, California... Or any other ocean or anywhere there is suitable water... I know of others who were baptized in an irrigation canal in Imperial County... Did anything stand out in your baptism?... Maybe the location... So tell us about your Baptism... Some have been baptized in the strangest places... As long as you were immersed in water the Lord doesn't mind... So believer where were you Baptized?... Brother Glen:)

Our church did not have a baptistery - so we went to a sister church - There were about 6 or 7 of us teens that were baptized that evening - using the facilities of Memphis Baptist Church.

The church didn’t have a baptism tub so it was done in a pool. I suddenly saw the Holy Spirit come down in the form of a dove and a voice say, Really?!? You?!? LOL

My wife and I had been saved for 10+ years before God led us to a fundamental church ("Bible church", but totally baptistic in doctrine and practice) in northern Maine, where we came to understand the need for believer's baptism. Along with 8-9 others, we were baptized in the St. John River where it's the border between the US and Canada. During the baptisms the unsaved sister of one of those being baptized repented and asked Christ into her heart, and was the final one baptized, just minutes later, the only time I've seen God work that way. (And her later actions/fruit were strong evidence of the validity of her profession.)

As a side benefit, the site of those baptisms was a wonderful spot to swim, of which we'd been unaware until then, and which we visited several times afterward. ;)

Our church does not have a baptistry, so a couple in the church open up their home's pond for that purpose. I was baptized last month.

We now have abaptism pool right behind main platform, used to not be heated, so many have an "experience" when dunked in the water!

Our pastor at our former church (he's now in Glory) had numerous " baptism tales", especially when his church had no baptistery and he'd "borrow" the facilities at a fellow church. One time several candidates lamented the cold water, and that was mentioned to the host pastor. Next time there, our pastor said there was steam rising above the pool and his feet were numb from heat by the time he was fully in. 1st candidate stepped right in for about 2 steps, shrieked, and ran! (I think he returned, and endured.)
