We did not, but several of our friends did. They posted some pics on FB. The line to get into Target was about 2 football fields long.

I went shopping this morning at radioshack.com to get an iPod Touch for my almost 12 year old daughter (good deal but I think Best Buy might have a better deal so I'm going to go there in a second to see if I can get it online otherwise I'll go tomorrow). I just got off of Starbucks.com to get the "magic mug" (that's what we call it). It's a nice travel coffee mug that gets you free coffee at Starbucks through the month of January. If you bring the mug, they fill it for free. It's $30 and hubby makes sure he goes at least once a day to get it filled. He even shoveled out of a blizzard to make sure he could get to the store! LOL

    Off to bestbuy.com!

No, and I will probably do as little shopping as possible for the next month.

    Guilty as charged!

After telling everyone I thought it was sad that people shopped on Thanksgiving, I went out and shopped.

My wife needed dry milk for bread she was baking.
I stopped into the grocery store to pick some up. I apologized and thanked the checker for working.

As I was leaving the parking lot I saw a Dunkin Donuts shop and stopped in for a cup of Joe with my son-in-law. I apologized and tipped the attendant well.

As we were driving home from my parents house after the Thanksgiving meal, my SIL stopped into Staples and picked up a small computer - actually quite a bit more powerful that the one I'm using now - for $99. I couldn't pass that up so I bought two for gifts for the grandkids. I apologized and the checker said he had eaten his meal and appreciated getting overtime for working the holiday.

Today I'll visit the gym, perhaps bring some coffee back for the son-in-law but refrain from spending any more money.

All in all it was a great day - I got to eat turkey and watch a turkey being eaten by the Eagles afterwards.

I thought it was Thanksgiving Day? You didn't mention anything about that in your daily account. That's the problem with us "Christians" we have all type of "Holy Days" that we spend doing considerably more that keeping it "Set apart". I'm sure I didn't spend adequate time in true "Thanks Giving" my self. Good thing about that Amazing Grace we are showered in huh?

I'm enjoying my time away from work actually relaxing with my family...and raising my blood sugar with all the wonderful food my wife presented us yesterday.

A holy day? Can you show me where Thanksgiving is in the Bible or where we are to have one day a year that we are to be thankful? Because I seem to think that this is a regular thing - not a one day a year thing.
