What or who is the "Death Angel" that you are referring to?

I assume it is the one who killed the first born in the first Passover meal.

The Scripture does not say that a "death angel" killed the first born at Passover. It says the Lord passed over them.

    Bro. Tony,

    You are correct:

    LE,

I can't seem to find the Death Angel anywhere but on Touched By an Angel. Would you point it out for me in the Bible?

    I Cor. 10:10
Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

    Who is the destroyer?

Nevermind, I answered my own question. ;)

Only God has authority to give life or take it away.
no such thing as a death angel
It is appointed unto men once to die then we face Judgement.

I don't think there is a death angel, but maybe LE was thinking of the angels in Rev 16 who are sent to pour out devastating stuff on the earth.

Of course, it's highly symbolic language, but these angels are pouring out destruction on the earth. Just wondered if maybe this is what you were thinking of, Lady Eagle?

Exodus is certainly not the only place in God's Word where you see death inflicted on a grand scale. For one, there is 2Kings 19:35 where it says quite clearly that the death toll among the Assyrians was inflicted by "the angel of the Lord."
"And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the Lord went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning
behold, they were all dead corpses."
Even though the passage in Exodus 12:29 reads like it does: "At midnight the Lord struck down...", nothing there precludes one or more of God's angels being the actual agent(s) by which they were killed.
As for fallen angels: it does seem they have the ability to kill, but are limited by God as to exactly what they can do. We have the book of Job to thank for an insight on this. Satan was told by God specifically not to take Job's life, which would be contradictory if Satan had no power to do so.
Angels do God's will, and they are given by God wide-ranging powers to carry out His will.
