When asking someone to bring you your favorite softdrink (i.e., Pepsi, Coke, RC, 7UP, or whatever), do you ask them to bring you a soda, or a pop?

    God Bless!!

I voted Soda but generally, in this Coke area, we say 'Coke'. I prefer Pepsi tho! Full strength with no fake sugars!

Can't vote because we don't ask for either! We ask for Coke, Dr. Pepper, Ginger Ale or whatever specifically we want! I ask for "Diet Coke"!! :D

Pop was the word in Minneapolis where I was raised. But at our college, where we had an influx of Pennsylvanians, it was always "soder".

    Unfair poll!!!

In central Oklahoma the generic name
is "Soda Pop". Try answering your poll
    with that data :(

Sorry 'bout that Ed, but here in Chicagoland, it's either Soda or Pop.

Guess I should have made this a regional poll only, eh?? :D

    God Bless!!!

In Tennessee, EVERYTHING is a 'Coke'. Where I grew up, it was 'pop'. Out here in the eastern Sierra's, it seems to be 'soda'.

Sorry, Jude, I didn't mean to come down so hard.

Couldn't vote. 'Coke' wasn't an option.

SHAME on you Diane. And in the heart of Coke country! I mean, Atlanta is international headquarters!

    In Christ,
    Trotter

I ask specifically for what it is that I want.

I remember visiting friends down in Mississippi and being asked if I wanted a "Coke". I said yes and expected a red can and got instead a Big K drink that I think was their version of Mountain Dew.

Yeah, down here, the question before making a run to the store is, "Anybody want a Coke? What kind?"

"Pepsi" (or Mountain Dew, or Sprite, or DP, or even Coke, or whatever)

Pop here, pop machines, pop bottles, carton of pop, etc. I lived in Louisville for awhile and there it is a "soft drink".

I always ask for Diet Dr. Pepper. I keep several different brands of 'pop' here for when the grands stop by.

I ask them if they would like a can of pop, they come to the fridge and make their own choice.

"Big K" is a generic form of pop that is sold by Krogers. I prefer the generic pop at Aldis.

Around here 'soda' refers to baking soda!

    Believe it or not.

In Jefferson City, MO there is a Popp family.

    Name of one son? Soda

    No Kidding.

    He's in the phone book.
