Who could possibly object. The majority of Christians which are not Calvinists.

Does Ephesians 2:8 teach faith is a gift? Nope, it teaches salvation is the gift.

Does God either cause or allow whatsoever comes to pass? Yes, thus He does not cause us to sin.

Does God allow people to believe, or does He compel people to believe? God allows most people to believe, but scripture records some exceptions such as those God hardens, and those that harden themselves such as soil #1 of Matthew 13. Thus most people can understand and respond to the gospel provided they are open to God's word and it is presented unambiguously. That is why Jesus said the fields are white for harvest.

Is this what is known as an oxymoron?

Does Ephesians 2:8 teach faith is a gift? Nope, it teaches salvation is the gift.

What kind of gift would it be if it did not include saving faith that is God given and certain.

Does God either cause or allow whatsoever comes to pass? Yes, thus He does not cause us to sin.

Agreed.
