9th graders after lunch...not anytime before, not an hour after, but in the class directly after lunch they are thoroughly impossible!
Not 8th grade. Not 10th grade. Ninth grade. I'm starting to wonder if there's top secret government testing on them where they insert some type of substance into their lunch food and observe the reactions!

But seriously...is this unique to ME or do other people have trouble controlling a classroom of this age after lunch?

From personal observations, ninth graders are the most smart-mouthed and troublesome of all children. That is why putting 7th, 8th, and 9th grade kind is a junior high is evil. 9th graders should NOT be the top dog in any situation. Putting them in a 4 grade high school permits the seniors to intimidate them.

Spare the rod and spoil the child...Ever since they removed the rod (or strap) from the schools, control has left the hands of the teachers.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Did you check your room for hidden cameras, are there black helocopters above the school?

God is the perfect Father and Parent, yet we do things that disappoint him and don't live up to his expectations. If God, the perfect parent, has children who are disobedient, why fault parents for every problem with a child?

You're in on it, I just know it!

BTW, yes, yes there are black helicopters above the school. Seriously! (from the military base)

They ARE the bottom in the food chain in most public schools I'm aware of. Grades 9-12 are together.
