My posting on the thread Any Cedarville Grads? leads me to request prayer for my best friend's at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship ( www.lighthouseministries.org ) oldest daughter.

On September 15th, 2012 she will be married to a man she met while she was a student at Cedarville University in Ohio.

Her husband-to-be is in officer training in the US Marine Corps ("Semper Fi!" ), and recently got his first area of assignment when he graduates and becomes a junior officer --- combat infantry.

(I think all of us here in BB land can see why I'm requesting prayer for her/him/them.) :praying:

Except for the fact that it appears this Marine wants to be a career guy & as you probably know Marines are front line guys. If he wants to be a career guy he needs this. Yes I will pray for his safety......but this is the choice he made & the choice she made to get hooked up with him in the 1st place....Right!

Praying in Jesus Name. We also need to pray for the officer not to develop PTSD and for his protection while overseas.

I guess you would have to ask her that.....not me.

Since she isn't my daughter, I don't see it as my place for her to demand that she ask me for my permission to marry this man.

Facts may be facts, but IMHO they both need prayer.....and, for that fact, I'm sure the two of them will appreciate E,W & F's (and anyone else's) prayers.

    (And that's a fact! )

Yes, we will pray for them both! We want to thank this young man who wants to serve his country this way. May the Lord strengthen their love for each other and for the Lord Jesus too. And we pray for the safety for both of them and that they will have many wonderful days in their lives together. May God bless them both richly!
