Soul Ties?

    Recently I was reading a book on spiritual warfare. The book mentioned "soul ties". This is a term that I have never heard of and don't really understand. Does anyone here have any knowledge of soul ties?

    probably what the hymn writer had in mind ????

    Or it maybe the tie we wear in heaven before we get our new body.:thumbs:

    I heard about this teaching a few years ago. From what I heard, my advice is
    "Run, run now, run hard, run fast, and run far away from this!" :eek:

    There is nothing biblical about this if it's what I heard about. In fact, it's actually more of an occult and New Age worldview. We don't create "soul ties" with people.

    Many teachings on spiritural warfare in the church are based on the very occult type of views they are claiming to fight off. It's sadly ironic. I have been asked about spiritual warfare techniques by Christians that were actually what is practiced in the occult as far as warding off evil and stuff like that. I would throw this book that teaches soul ties away. Please don't let unbiblical teachings like this warp your thinking.

    Thanks for the information. The idea of "soul ties" sounded pretty far out to me, and I just wanted to see if there is any biblical foundation for this belief.

    I guess I am learning that just because a book seems to be "Christian", we still need to weigh it against what the bible teaches.
