    My favorite space game before my eyes went was galaga. I could put one quarter in the machine and play for hours on end.

    I love pac-man and ms pac-man!!! Our son has even gotten into these games! He has a Nintendo gamecube and we found a nameco 14 classic arcade hits game, which IMO, is better for a nine year old than many of the modern games. It took him a few days to get into it, because he said it looked boring, but he loves it now. (Probably because his dad and I were "hogging" the gamecube playing ms pac-man, according to him) His favorites are Galaga and Spy Kid.

    I have the galaga on my pc now and play it once in a while. Same graphics, but not as fun as when standing at a machine for hours on end and someone asking, 'How do you get such a high score (above 1,000,000)?' and, 'Why aren't the enemies shooting at you?' lol

    I love those games too. In fact, I still have my Atari 2600 (even though the power cord has a short in it). Those games are definitely better for kids than the modern games.

    Space Invaders and PacMan are spawn of Satan. Now, give me Mrs PacMan and DigDug any day!!!

    And don't get me started on Tetris and Frogger!!!!

    Would anyone like to share strategy on how to get a score of one million plus on Space Invaders that some of those folks have recorded on the game site records? [​IMG]

    Ben,

    Here are the keys to scoring big time on Space Invaders:

    1. Quit your job and stop having a life.
    2. Do nothing but play SI for days, even weeks at a time non-stop.
    3. Give up sleeping.
    4. Become a Neo-Con... :D

    I can remember when it used to cost 20ยข to play Asteroids.....now I can do it for nothing......but I'm still no good at it..... :( :rolleyes: :D

    I can't get the Donkey Kong to work! It just moves the screen when I press the arrows and space bar.
