spyware

    apparently I have ad ware and spy ware on my computer, it is causing it to slow down, and I have a lot of pop ups. My pop up blocker isn't stopping these. I have ad aware and spy bot and they aren't showing the spy ware thats on my computer (yes they are updated). I down loaded a few things and they only scan you have to pay fr them to remove the spy ware. They are showing that there is spyware and adware on my computer.
    So what can I do,what can I download, preferably for free to take care of this?

    Donna, go to www.majorgeeks.com and dl the free Program 'RegScrubXp'. After removing Spyware from your PC through the means Trotter suggested, run RegScrubXp to clear loose ends left behind in the registry.

    i forgot how to back up, i've only done it a couple of times, and just forgot what to do, thanks guys........
