Hey y'all! This is my first post on Baptist Board! Figured I'd start things off with a Big Bang (pun fully intended). :p

Quoted from here. Priest Valery Dukhanin. A Scandalous Topic: I’m Not a Descendant of Apes

All I can say is .... BURN!!! (Apply ointment directly to affected area.)

A hyperliteral reading of the Bible claims we came from mud -- that's about as low as one can get. Therefore, I don't know why people get offended by the idea that we might share a common ancestor with other primates.

The point is not that we are mud or hominids, but that -- by a Divine action -- are image bearers of God.

Oure ancestors were not an evolved offshoot of primates, but were creatly directly by God from dust, in the sense had no prior parents!
