Steven Curtis Chapman adopts 2nd Chinese daughter

    STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN COMPLETES ADOPTION BEFORE CHINESE
    SUSPENSION
    (Nashville, Tennessee-AP) -- Christian singer Steven Curtis
    Chapman has completed the adoption of his second Chinese
    daughter.
    Chapman's publicists say the family was able to bring the
    seven-month-old girl home before China stopped issuing
    invitations for foreigners to pick up their adopted children.
    China's halt in issuing the required invitations is part of its
    effort to stem the outbreak of the disease SARS.
    The Chapmans have named their new daughter Stevey Joy --
    Stevey after her father, and Joy to reflect her adoptive sister
    Shaohannah's middle name, Hope.
    Dawn Dean of Bethany Christian Services -- which arranged
    both Chapman adoptions -- says families that already have their
    Chinese invitations are still traveling to China to complete
    adoptions.

    How many children do they have? I knew there were some younger boys...how old are they now? Just curious because we have always been interested in foreign adoption...but,we have 3 children of our own. Sometimes they won't allow families that already have children to be up on the list.


    That's great for them!

    Molly,Steven and his wife Mary Beth have three natural children...I think it's a girl and two boys. He has one other adopted Chinese daughter,Shaohannah,who they call "Shoey."
