As much as I have liked Tony Romo it is time admit that he has shown that there was a good reason that he went undrafted. He is not a championship level quarterback.

This is at best an 8-8 team and I fully expect there to be a new head coach next season. It will be interesting to see if Jerry Jones is willing to fade into the background like he did with Parcells and convince Cowher, Shanahan, or Gruden to take over the team as head coach for next season.

Perhaps too they can trade up in the draft, if necessary, to draft Bradford or McCoy in the first round.

    Ken,

On behalf of my family and all those who are still angry that Jones fired Tom Landry we extend our sincerest nah, nah, nah, nah, nah! :tongue3:

    How about those Broncos!

It was time for Tom Landry to go and the Cowboys won three Super Bowls with Jerry Jones as owner and Jimmy Johnson as the head coach. That one more than Tom Landry and the previous owner won.

Save your "nah nah nah nah nah" for when the Broncos have won as many Super Bowls as the Cowboys.

They aren't done. The Boys (and my fantasy prospects!) will make a come back this year. They'll go 11-5 or 10-6 and a couple deep into the playoffs.

I hope you are right, Matt, but I just don't see it.

I think one of those had Barry Switzer, not Johnson, as H.C..

Romo is the major problem for the Cowboys (on the field, that is) and will need to be replaced before the Cowboys will be a great team again. He is just too inconsistent and has a childish "goofiness" about him that I have never cared for. Todays game is classic Romo. Fumble, INT, numerious bad passes to open receivers, and one amazing scramble to keep the myth about his greatness alive.

But, Ken! It was the Coach! I know you're right. I just don't want to give you the satisfaction of saying so in public.

I waited a long, long, long, long time for the first two. I started following the Broncos when Craig Morton was traded there from the Giants.

Don't count them out just yet. Romo is money, he's just off a tad bit. Some qbs have accuracy issues during their career. Romo is money

Completely disagree. Some guys have it and some guys don't. Romo is in the 2nd category. He's been in the league long enough to know whether he's "money" or not, and it's obvious that he isn't.

Good catch. That is correct. Jerry Jones has 3. Jimmy Johnson has 2.

The problem is that Tony started off being a gunslinger like Brett Favre and they have tried to remake him into being like Tom Brady. Now Tony has no confidence and he is thinking way too much and is not being as free lancing as he was back when he was successful.

Also, if you look at the Cowboys' last 24 games they are 12-12. Mediocre.

And that's about how much I'd pay him.

Plus, he's dumped Carrie Underwood, Jessica Simpson, and a former model. How smart can this guy be? How long before he dumps that new girl, who I've heard was a former Miss Missouri or something like that? Who does this guy think he is? Andy T or CCROB? Come on :love2:

I have had a couple of people tell me that his play would improve if he reunited with Jessica. :)

Wade is a goner if they don't make it to the playoffs or if they make it and don't win a game.

BTW, to hijack the thread, and if there's anything I'm good at, it's hijacking a thread, remember how I said that the Packers defense was good? Yeah, not so much. They have the look of an average defense. The best D in the North is the 6 Queens D, with the Bears 2nd and the Packers a close 3rd.

Romo and I have something in common in that I married a hot blonde and he dates hot blondes.

I agree, and that is a shame, because Wade is not the problem.
