I'm needing help with SS Curriculum. I desire SS literature that will take the whole church through the bible book-by-book. Do you know of any good publishers? I desire the whole family to to study the same passage week-by-week. I don't desire topical. Thanks for your help.

The "Exploring the Bible" series by Lifeway is an excellent example of what you are looking for.

The Baptist Sunday School Committee of the American Baptist Association produces a "Through-the-Bible" series of S. S. Literature. You should be able to find info on their website - www.abaptist.org. In my opinion, there are good and points with their literature, including variations from writer to writer. They also produce related booklets for the teacher, and I think they also now provide larger "commentaries" on the books being studied, which go into greater detail than the S. S. booklets.

These were good, and we used them in the BMA church where I was assistant pastor. We also used them in the Sunday school classes of the GARBC church I attended. I haven't seen many of them in IFB churches, though, as many of the churches have seemed to start writing their own literature for classes.

We use Standard . . and it is really poor. Great visuals and books, etc, but neo and wishy-washy content.

I am working with the SS Superintendent to educate him and help wean the church off this sub-par stuff before they get a new pastor.

Being an interim has some advantages - go in and take care of "messes" before the new guy comes, and then leave and never return!! [IMG]

I am not "that" familiar with the adult curriculum, nor the youth, though my youth director doesn't like the stuff, but I want to rave over Lifeway's curriculum for children. So based on that, I would suggest Lifeway's line.
