Sunday School Material - Nooma

    I was wondering if any of you have heard of Rob Bell and some short DVD messages/workbooks he has helped make called NOOMAs. Was wondering if you thought it would be good material for a teen sunday school class.

    Philip,
    I did a search on the word NOOMA and came up with several links. It seems these products have been around since 2002. I viewed some of the introductory portions of a few of the lessons.

    While I did not observe anything that was inappropriate, I had a feeling that the lessons are "New Age" religion. I can't be certain of this, just a feeling.

    I recommend you visit the home page for these lessons, review the info provided and decide for youself.

    Thank you for your input. I only found the website yesterday and haven't had time yet to do a thorough investigation of the material or Rob Bell. Will do so. Thought I would start here for some opinions though.

    My Bible Study Group from church is doing a series on these videos right now. Yes, he dresses differently from other pastors but his messages are straight from the word of God and relevent to today. I think it's great that this pastor is willing to go out on a limb for God and I think all Christians should at least take a look at one of the videos, they will change your life. "Kickball" has been the best of all so far for me. Let me know what you think when you decide to try it for yourself.

    I like them... I started a thread about nooma in the youth forum and so far I got no responses..
