Capitalists ... of course they abandoned the city and moved jobs overseas. That is Capitalism, cut and run to raise profits and bonuses for the rich.

The question, p.o.s. troy, called for a political party, which 'capitalists ' is not. Capitalists, and/or the rich, May be of either party, or a minor party, and all are hypocrites who say they care about anything it their own wealth.

Umm no Democrat run

Rev. Here are the 100 poorest counties in America. How many are run by Democrats? And how many are run by Republicans ... 97% is the answer. [http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...-97-nations-100-poorest-counties-red-states/] Republicans win the poverty race hands down.

Here is a list of the poorest counties ... remember 97% are run by Republicans.

An unwise but learned fool once said that the greatest enemy of knowledge is the illusion of knowledge.

I am sure that all here know of the camps outside of Swedish cities (Stockholm, for example) a couple of years ago, and the racial attacks against non-ethic Swedes earlier this year ... and I'm sure that we also know that all of Detroit is not rubble.

What I am not sure about is why some seem content to soak in propaganda. Not only to they soak in that "intentional ignorance" but they encourage others to do so as well. In other words, this post is dishonest in its presentation. It is presenting the "best" of Sweden against the "worst" of Detroit in order to gain support through deception and an emotional response. It is a lie seeking to defend an ideology upon a lie, to rally support and attack another party or position. But it is at it's base foundation nothing but dishonest.

Does the agenda behind the propaganda justify the sin?

It is appropriate and/or necessary for Christians who are involved in politics to involve themselves in ungodliness? Why or why not?

Just saw this thread. A bit amusing.

I do not think that a Swedish-type Socialism will work in the U.S. The mentality, values, and attitude toward government is different.

The OP did not cite a source for their list. Thus, we have no way of knowing the accuracy or the timeliness of the list.

Below is a source that lists the poorest cities and they are quite different and much more Republican than the OP.

http://www.dailyfinance.com/photos/10-laredo-texas/

In your citation troy, there is no way of knowing the accuracy of your claim of "much more Republican than the OP." Looking at a few samples, ones like Laredo and Las Cruces would not be expected to be very republican.

Besides, are you trying to show that there is a big lie in perception? That the poor are republican being suppressed by the rich democrats, or what?

That's along the lines of what I've been thinking this would thread.
