I dont think it would have been banned in the USA either. We are a country that allowes people we disagree with to speak their mind.

We allow the KKK to have rallies. We allow Fred Phillips (westbro) to exist we even allow Christians to roam the streets telling homosexuals they are going to Hell.

Everybody gets a voice here as long as they are not physicaly hurting anybody.

Yes, I believe you are correct. Banning hate-speech is PC, so we are less PC than a lot of countries.

 

If as your premise suggests that PC'ism bans hate speech, then we need more PC'ism.

And a lot less hate coming from the muslims of the world.

 

It is hard for me to believe that Evangical Christians are calling for the banning of speach because it is considered hate speach.

If I posted an artical that says a goverment is banning street preaching because it is considered hate speach, you would be on the complete opposite side of the same issue.

 

If you were to preach like the Muslims are preaching?

I might agree that your preaching is hateful and is not intended to benefit anyone . . .

I agree, it is not needed. But I would not outlaw it because it offends.

Would you outlaw the street preachers who hold signs of aborted babies. who yell at Mormons when they go to confrence, who say homosexuals are going to hell.

SO, to my point. You want what is clearly offensive out lawed. What if the next thing some goverment politition says is clearly offensive is Christianity.

You see in Canada the law that I posted in the artical was proposed by an openly gay politition. We have them what if Christianity is next on the outlaw list.

That is why all speach that does not directly hurt somebody is allowed.

If so, that is beyond hate speech, in my opinion, and is closer to inciting a riot, which is illegal in this country. I assume it is in Australia.

I don't care if Muslims, Fred Phelps, the Black Panthers, or the KKK gather and tell me I'm a fat, homo, infidel (I fit one out the three...guess which one:laugh: ) who is going to hell. But, I do mind when they start telling their followers to come and execute me.

I don't know if that is what was going to happen, but it shouldn't be allowed to happen.
