Should there be any doubt as to this premise, just look at the dem controlled states/cities & their draconian policies. Also remember how dismissive the left was in the early stages of this bug, & were against EVERYTHING that Trump did, even to the point of saying they (Harris?) would NOT take the vaccine if Trump had anything to do with it; & now Biden wants to force/shame everybody into taking it as he takes credit for getting the vaccine approved.

I trust my Dr totally, as he is a Christian man, and agrees much with me politically - BUT - even he has to get his info from some source well above himself in the medical hierarchy. So how does he discern the truth of any guidelines?
Granted he is far and away better qualified over me to judge, BUT even he has to yield to "medical superiors", who, IMHO, have sold out to political powers & thus are tainted in their conclusions.

I am one of the "lucky" ones, in that I have lived a full life, and am prepared to meet my Maker at His call, so for the most part it's my kids & g-kids that will have to live with this satanic beaurecacy & all it's petty control measures.
Anyway, point is that, while I used to trust the USA Gov't to be an ally, it is morphing into a master instead! And barring a merciful intervention from God Himself, this is the future of the once great US of A!

Harris is disgusting, like when she said she would refuse the covid vaccine as Trump had something to do with it, then she did take the vaccine after the election, of course they give Trump no credit for anything and want to undue everything Trump did. Which is why they refused to acknowledge anything Trump said as worthwhile really about anything, including covid treatments which could have saved lots of people from dying in agony, being angry politicians what else would you expect them to do.

They still offer no covid cure despite evidence that shows at least 2 well known cheap drugs effective against covid.

It is interesting. I have a friend who is a doctor and recommended/ took the vaccine. But I have another who is a nurse and has worked on a COVID ward in the ICU who will not take the vaccine. I guess even medical professionals are divided (it is a matter of faith, to a degree, as neither the pro or anti COVID vaccine people can prove their position because there is so much unknown).

But you are right that COVID itself has been politicized. A week ago we were told that COVID is increasing and we need to wear masks (some say two masks), that vaccinated persons can spread the virus (contrary to how other viruses work, apparently a person who has been effectively....IF effectively....vaccinated can somehow still produce the virus and spread it to others if infected).... but yesterday we are told - by the same people - that if vaccinated no masks are needed inside or outside.

Masks make sense in certain circumstances. But both sides have politicized even the basic idea of covering one's mouth. They have taken extreme opposite sides on the issue....often (IMHO) in reaction to their political opponent rather than an observation of science.

For the DNC, their platform transitioned to focus on COVID-19. They essentially took Trump's policies and called it their own, minimalized the Trump Administration's work in developing a vaccine and policies to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but now that time has passed since the election are trying to gain ground by laying claim to work already done. At the same time, the GOP has to be critical of anything the DNC does concerning the virus because they want that political ground.

Why on earth are we even looking to politicians to take care of our health???

There is a lot of truth to your post, but government has long been in charge of health, perhaps for good reason, at least to some degree.

We cannot trust politicians with this, but neither can we trust those who are not actual politicians, because they also have political agendas or are too affected by them. Have we forgotten how the AIDS issue was handled?

Energy poverty fot the poor who wont be able to afford Biden's energy policies and the democrat's GND policies.

Ironically, the CDC finally admitted the GOP was correct about masks....and the GOP, rather than rejoicing over the CDC's partal de-stupification, made it political - expecting the CDC under the Biden Presidency to insist all wear masks.

When the DNC maintained we should wear one or two masks, the GOP said that is playing politics. When the CDC says no masks, the GOO says they are playing politics.

It is not a partisan issue for politicians and the medical community outside the US. It is sad that a certain segment of politicians and media outlets in the US have made this a partisan issue at the expense of people’s lives and long term health.
