How many of you plan to take advantage of the Tax Free weekends offered by your state (if you have one)?

    Shopping.....tax free?

    Am I a female?

    Is the pope Catholic?

Seriously, I may buy groceries today, but that's all. However, most of the mothers that I know have reserved this day to do all of their kid's back to school shopping. Multiple kids with clothes, uniforms, and supplies.....that would be significant enough of a savings to be excited about.

Illinois does not offer a tax free weekend. I wish that they would, since we need to get the back to school shopping done.

I live in New Hampshire... every weekend is tax free. :)

Of course, they get their money in other ways.. car registertion is expensive, and other things are costly...

Oh well.. The "man" will always get his share huh? :)

Sales tax is really hard for my kids to understand. It's hard for the kids to understand why they can't buy something that costs $9.99 when they have $10 in their pocket. Logicly if something costs $9.99 why should you have to pay $10.81 for it? I try to explain that it's the tax, but they just don't get it.

I've always thought that the displayed price should include taxes, just like with gasoline.

The company I work for has stores in all 50 states and when I went into work yesterday I found out that they had mistakenly sent a computer file to all stores not to charge tax this weekend. Of course it should only have gone to stores in states that were having a Tax Free Weekend. They didn't get the problem fixed for several hours. I guess the company is on the hook for some sales tax.

Love it and plan to use for school supplies. For school clothes, we already bought the uniforms so time ago, so no savings there.
