I realize that most of you care less about this news, but, as a family, which we the church are; I am asking that all of us pray for the family during this time of loss! The Apostle Paul reminded each of us, "To rejoice with those that have a reason to rejoice....and to WEEP with those who have a reason to weep!" Today, we should be weeping with the extended Crouch family; for a husband, father and grandfather has passed from this life to eternity, and he will be missed! :tear:

Also, this is another sober reminder, that regardless of how strong you profess your faith to be; God has carefully and meticulously numbered each of our days! Even the name-it-claim-it folks can't claim-it beyond that which God has ordained...we all have an expiration date, so live life to the fullest for the King of Kings, and make sure the legacy you leave is one that honors the God who sent his Son to die for you! :godisgood:

Regardless of how you view TBN; this ministry did something that few envisioned being done 40 years ago! It took the message around the world, and it was not all WOF ministries that they catered to! I know that there were many great non-WoF ministries shown on TBN that blessed me and may have blessed some of you!

No accolades for preaching another gospel-- around the world.

Pray for the bilkers and the bilked of televangelism--many of whom know not what they do. They are given over to strong delusion, believing a lie.

This is nothing new--Jesus told us to beware of wolves dressed like sheep.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

His "gospel" was so convoluted. Hard for me to imagine he's with Christ right now.

But, I can say with certainty, at this moment he and I are now agreed on more than we disagree.

Crouch preached a false gospel, allowed others to do the same, and commercialized the faith in general. He allowed the "messengers" who had shows on his network -- who had to pay for a time slot -- to sell prayer clothes, "holy water from the Jordan," and a whole host of other scams.

Sorry, RD2, but while I sympathize with the pain his family is going through, I can't mourn this man as someone who did a great service to the faith. He did far more damage than good. Yes, he had some with good solid preaching on-air -- Kennedy, Stanley, Jeremiah. But the majority were liars, false prophets and outright thieves. Perhaps we can pray that someone will clean up the mess on his network and throw out the evildoers.

It's a sad day. Not because I respected or revered Crouch, nor his false message of fleecing the sheep to fare sumptuously daily at their expense, and to train others to do the same, all in the name of God. What is sad is that this deceiver was himself deceived and now is in the planes of eternity.

He may be missed, but I will not miss his false gospel. I just hope and pray whoever takes his place isn't like him. However I'm sure that issue was already addressed long ago and we will see the same ridiculus stunts done in the name of Christ. We must be ready to warn our friends about TBN and share the ONLY truth.

Did he not have enough faith to be healed?

I am sad for his family but when you preach that which is untrue and leading people to believe lies, you must be held accountable to it. I don't know his heart state with the Lord - I'm assuming he was saved - yet he is learning that the prosperity gospel was a false gospel right now, I'm sure. All of our works will be shown for what they are. I'm not saying he's not in heaven but he's learning truth.

Don't worry. He won't be dead long. Several of the guys on TBN claim to be able to raise the dead.

I pray that God come to them in their hour of grief and despair and provides the comfort that we would all desire at the loss of a loved one.

Shall his life and his death be used to God's glory.:praying:

Hey Dwag!

Wow. I'm glad my eternal destiny is not voted on by those on the BB

We may not always agree....but on this, I do! I do not know where Mr. Crouch is at this time. And I know he, and his ministry did a great service to the true Gospel of Christ! Still, his errors will be addressed by the only one who is really able to address our life and our works, all I asked was that we remember the Crouch family in prayers, as there are many who could find the real message of Christ through his passing! That is my prayer. That God uses this passing to clear minds and hearts, and lead others, still alive, to the truth and away from the curtain of false teachings and WoF hype!

I think, from what I read, TBN did televise some good teachings, which I was a partaker of. And there were times I watched the false teaching [praying that the Holy Ghost cover and protect me, as well as provide me discernment and wisdom to cut through the lies and emotion used to fleece others], as it helped me to better address those who followed WoF and be prepared to give a Biblical World View that was without all the smoke, mirrors and spiritual hype! Even Jesus attended the teachings of the Pharisees, and he was adamant about what false theology they taught! He was not afraid to view the false teachings, so He could address it!

I hate to hear of anyone's passing, and so is the case with Paul Crouch. But he was nothing but a blight to the church with him and his cohorts false gospel of sowing seed into his kingdom, and not God's. I will be in prayer for his family, and I hate to hear about this, but I am not going to say he was some great man of God when all he propagated was seed sowing, and not the gospel of Jesus Christ.

One of the main problems with Trinity Broadcasting Network was that they never allowed anyone to examine their books. For example, many groups are audited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) http://www.ecfa.org/

Consequently, it is unknown exactly how much money from donations to Trinity Broadcasting Network went directly to Paul Crouch or his wife. This has led to speculation that the two of them together collected three fourths of a million dollars annually.

Of course, the lack of financial accountability is an issue outside of the sin of the theological error that was broadcast so frequently by Trinity Broadcasting Network as Jan and Paul were liable to insist on many heterodox doctrines.

There was a lot of false teaching. But also a lot of solid BIBLICAL teaching. God's word will not return void. He will be glorified by the life of Paul Crouch no matter what TBN may or may not have appeared to be.

If God let them sit at the helm of it, you can guarantee that HE will receive the glory!!!
