I would like to see Tebow go to Tampa Bay or Jacksonville and run him as a wide out or running back. Big draw.

From what I read down here, he wants to be a QB. He might be finding out now that going to Florida was not a good choice if he wanted to be a NFL QB. But I do think he is a winner and could play some where if they wanted him. Keep in mind Joe Kapp and Billy Kilmer did rather well in the NFL.

Rev, in some ways it does, there have been precious few QB's from the gators program. They don't develop QB's to go into a pro style system. They win at the NCAA level, but, even the good QB's like Wuerffel and Grossman didn't turn out to be good NFL quarterbacks

Tebow might go to Jax, but he wouldn't fit in the Bucs system at all. I think his going to the Jets really hurt his future chances at landing another gig at the NFL level.

Do you think there is any team in the NFL that would played him as a starting QB? From my prospective putting any faith in Rexie was a big mistake. I dont think he is capable of developing any quarterback.....poor Sanchez.

I don't think that there is any NFL team that would build a team around him. Part of it is that the NFL is pretty much a moribund group as far as independent thinking is concerned.

I think Tebow may be the most charactered athlete in a long time, but I am not sure he could win consistently in the NFL. But what do i know?

Cofflin took the young babe in the woods that I thought would never amount to anything & molded him into the crack QB the Giants has today. If they told Rex to hit the skids & put a real coach in there, perhaps the Jets (for once & not since Joe Willie) might turn into a championship team. Tebow has God on his side....no telling what he could do with a mentor coach. Same goes for Sanchez who could use some mentoring & some prayer.

Yes but they didnt think of him as a consistent player & leader. And he is not another Elway.

Send him to the Packers to back up Aaron Rogers.

...Or better yet, let the Bears have him and see if he gives the Packers some real competition.;)

He needs to correct his throwing motion, it gives the DB to much time to react the long motion he has. It was the down fall to Jville's QB they had from Marshall. If he had went to a school that would have worked on his passing game, he would have been much better prepared to play QB in NFL. I watched him play from HS on and I believe he is a winner and could make it in the NFL, but if he does or doesn't, I still think he is a winner.

We Broncos fans thought that when Elway landed Manning, that Tebow should stay and study under him to complete Tebow's package and correct his throw. Stupid move to send him to the Jets - Ryan (through Sanchez) only held back Tebow's learning curve, possibly a permanent setback.

Time will tell. The boy is a winner, he will play somewhere....just don't know if he can develop into the qback he once had the potential to be, thanks
to the shuffling around and lack of play.

    Mainly due to their defense.

He might stick on as a wildcat qb or backup, but I feel his future should be at fullback.

We? You speak for all of us Bronco fans now?
No doubt some thought that, but a lot of us also thought it was a good move to get something in return for a guy that is just never going to be a NFL QB.

This place is like ESPN West. Too much talk about a below average QB.

The Jets are a mess, but it's not necessarily Rex Ryan's fault. The real problem is that the Jets went all in with Rex, Sanchez, etc., and they made 2 AFC Championship games as a result. You could call it incompetence of Mike Tannenbaum (Jets GM) if you want, but they went all in on paying players and all they accomplished was making it to 2 AFC Championship Games. The bill for those cap salary sins came due this year and will continue into next year unless the Jets eat a lot of contract money.

I don't see how you can say this. The Jets made the AFC Championship Game 2 years in a row. That was more success than the Jets had experienced since winning Super Bowl III.

When did Rex Ryan become a developer of QB's? He was a defensive coordinator, not an offensive guy. If you've forgotten, or didn't know, he was the defensive coordinator for the Ravens, most notably when they were the best defense in the league in the early 2000's.

What are the specific things that Coughlin has done for Eli Manning that Rex Ryan didn't do for Mark Sanchez?

Actually, he is considered a leader, but he's not a good QB and he's certainly no Elway. Everything we need to know about Tebow as a QB was said when Elway went hard after Peyton Manning.

Uh, no. As a Bears fan, I'd rather have a real NFL QB.

As usual, Bob is the voice of reason around here. I completely agree with everything said here.

Who was stupid? Elway for getting trading a player that was never going to play while Manning was there? Tebow for choosing to go with the Jets instead of the Jags? Or the Jets, whose owner had more to do with trading for Tebow than Tannenbaum or Ryan did?

Not to mention the lack of talent to play QB in the NFL. Tebow's had all kinds of opportunity to be a real NFL QB and he hasn't. What does that tell us? It tells us he's not a good NFL QB.

Another voice of reason speaks out. Where were you last year during this debate?

I am very curious as to what the Tebow apologists have to say about this.
