I hope freedom-loving politicians are taking notes from the Massachusetts Democrat, Martha Coakley. A few months ago, she was the shoo-in to replace Teddy Kennedy. Now, she might lose outright (although there's indications that even if her opponent wins, he might not be seated for a while. Scumbags.) She's run quite possibly the worst campaign in recent memory. Examples of her stupidity, campaign-wise, include...
- Dismissing your opponent--especially in a year in which your party isn't exactly setting the world on fire. Not the brightest move.
- Simply put, not campaigning...not going out there and shaking hands with "normal" people. (SOURCE)
- Bringing in "heavy hitters" to campaign for you...but then discovering (by listening to their speeches) that they don't even know your name. (SOURCE)
- Blaming your problems on a former president, now out of office for a year.
- Frankly, not listening to the people of your state. This healthcare garbage scares folks...even Massachusetts residents...and Coakley basically ignores them.
- Having supporters insinuate that they will cheat to help you win, and that if your opponent wins, they'll try to prohibit him from taking office for a while. (SOURCE)
