I am sure that after reading this, some of you will think of some words/terms once accepted and used in this society that need to be removed because they offend a group, or groups of people.
There are two that I believe have long passed usefulness, one is "niggardly" which refers to a stingy, financially tight person. Or "niggle" which means to be fussy or like Morris da Cat, finicky!
The next word that must anger people is BLACK-mail? We all know that black mail is a crime of extortion, but I can't think of a word or term that would adequately take its place. Can you?
And while I'm throwing out words that should be removed for the sake of being politically correct and tolerant.
We definitely need to toss the word Negro, because it makes people, even here on the board, GO ballistic. Of course that would mean rewriting the classics of Mark Twain, it is as racist as they come.
Finally, I would like to suggest the owner of the Washington Redskins change their name to the Washington WARRIORS! I think this name should be good for anther few decades? And they could keep their logo.
As a white man I'd like to see "cracker"removed, as I am deeply offended when I hear a group of blacks, sitting at a table near mine ask the waitress to grab them some "crackers"!"
So what would you like changed? This is the president of change, and think he'd help this happen :type:
