Texas School Suspends 9-Year-Old Boy… for Playing Make Believe

Children have been suspended for a number of strange reasons, like biting Pop Tarts into the shape of a firearm or talking about firing Hello Kitty Bubble Guns at fellow classmates.

Neither of these situations posed any real threat, but schools across the country continue to have zero tolerance for what they deem as threats.

Now, a story out of Kermit Elementary School in Texas shows how even imaginary threats aren’t acceptable.

Aiden Steward, 9-years-old, loved seeing The Hobbit: Battle of The Five Armies in the theater. In his excitement, he pretended to have the magical ‘one ring to rule them all’ while playing at school.

Totally agree! Get the kids so they are afraid to do ANYTHING w/o permission, and by the time he is an adult, questioning his "SUPERIORS" never crosses his mind ----- WALA !! Blind obedient little lemmings; just like the liberals want!:BangHead:

The "zero tolerance" nonsense strikes again. Don't use your common sense, just read the rule book and treat children all exactly the same. Yes, all children are different, but that sounds like thinking, so stop it!

All it really is a way that school districts try and avoid being liable if a lawsuit happens. Zero tolerance has nothing to do with what's actualy best for the children. It is nonsensical to apply what no one would tolerate, say drug use, to every situation an elementary child's imagination could come up with.

That's already been decided in many communities. As more and more people try e-cigarettes (basically a fake cigarette that delivers flavored steam) more and more cities are outlawing them.

Indoctrinating or conditioning a generation to regard guns as an evil thing, or gun ownership as a vice. "Safety" is just a rhetorical device. Of course it isn't safety, as the absurdity points out. But if what one intends is to condition an aversion to something, then the action is perfectly congruent and proportional to the offense.
