Thankful for my church

This should probably be in the praise forum, but there has been so much talk on this forum about people being treating badly, mocked, laughed at, asked to leave their churches when they are trying to follow the will of God that I wanted to post this here.

I am so thankful for my loving, praying, caring church.

We are rather traditional in our views, but we are very friendly toward one another and our visitors. No cares how the other dresses. We welcome everyone into the church meeting:
large, small, young, old, rich, poor, the physically and mentally challenged, male, female.

Some posts here have made me appreciate my church even more.

The first advent candle was lit this morning by a family that has a new month old daughter. The love of that family shown in their faces. The father, dressed casually in jeans, read the scripture with the love of God. His wife, dressed in a nice pants suit, with her three girls lit the candle. It was beautiful.

I wish I had a picture of the father holding the baby daughter before the service began. He was not aware of anyone around him except that precious baby.

Jessie, praying that you will find your church.

The Holy Spirit led me to this church. They have seen me through some very difficult times in my life and then I met my husband there.

The Lord definitely had a place for me at this church.
