The Absolute Sovereignty of God? Where did this doctrine come from?

Yes God is sovereign over His creation.

He is just not "absolutely sovereign"/ deterministic as your religion requires Him to be.

Your deterministic view would require that God be the actual cause of all the sin and evil in the world and thus responsible for such.

The bible is clear that God is not so that would have to mean that your view is wrong.
Thanks, some of the defenders of exhaustive determinism also claim God is not the author of sin. The fact that is an irrational position does not phase them, once they shroud their doctrine in the invisibility cloak of "its a mystery."

Actually refers to the entire "salvation package" from God to us being his grace towards we who got saved
Christ said "The work of God is to believe in the one he sent." John 6:29. By that comment, Jesus was laying the obligation of faith firmly on men, whereas your terse comment seemed to be laying the obligation on God, whose mercy (grace) is what creates the opportunity for faith, which I agree is a corollary of grace. To have faith, one must likewise show mercy.
