If those verses are to be applied in the manner you infer, then none of us are going to be exempt from Hell.Originally posted by Johnv:

So, if he's a liar, how can he be "a Christian brother" in light of these verses
You ask, how can Chick be a brother in Christ if he's a liar? Scripture tells us that all of us, without exception, have sinned and fall short of God's glory. Paul said very clearly that he himself was the chief of all sinners. Chick is no more of a sinner than I am. His deception may affect his righteousness, but if he has accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, then his deception does not affect his salvation. His deception may affect his righteousness, but if he has accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, then his deception does not affect his salvation. </font>[/QUOTE]So says your Calvinistic belief, contrary to God's Word. If he is indeed a liar as you accuse him of being, and persists in his state of deception, ALL liars end up in the Lake of Fire. One who "accepts Christ as his Lord and Saviour" must continue to abide in Him as He commands in John 15 - a liar does not do that. Jesus said, "IF you love Me, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS" - a liar is hardly loving God nor keeping His commandments!
