Well, this is what Obama wanted although I don't know why - both of these portraits are just plain weird, the art's okay if you're into surrealism but for an official portrait? Dawg . . .

Michele's doesn't even look much like her and Obama looks like the guy was tripping on acid during the sitting. Artist seems to be a SJW type, and all his work looks the same to me. I wish he had painted Obama holding OBL's head like that - one thing about this, decades from now, those two portraits will stand out for sure.

Obama's portrait breaks protocol for the formal type of portrait to be displayed in the White House. It will be out of place and look immature. Obama has no accomplishments and no proper portrait, perhaps fittingly.

The real story is taken from the Apocrypha and concerns the beheading of a white Assyrian general by a white woman. This is the subject of many Renaissance artists. This artist changed the story to make a point. It must bother you to see a black person taking revenge on a white person. Are you OK with a painting of a white woman beheading a white man?

People these days don't know how to paint. I don't know why people can't paint like they used to; years ago, people could paint to where it looked just like a photograph. That's how you know it's a good painter, when they can paint so good, that it looks just like it was took with a camera.

No. There are a lot of strange things depicted in art.

Black people taking revenge on white people is what you said, and you said it as though it met with your approval. Is that the case?

You said: "It must bother you to see a black person taking revenge on a white person."

George W. Bush gets a painting lesson, with wife Laura the model:

Art Professor Teaches Former President George W. Bush

"Bush...started painting in 2009, after leaving office....Bush enjoys painting portraits, Tonape said, and he wanted to learn more about painting from a live setting, with a model as opposed to working from a photograph....Painting from real life is Tonape’s specialty."

"Tonape’s style of painting has been described as classically-inspired contemporary realism....President Bush ranks as his most famous student to date."
