The Biggest Threat of the Coronavirus
not enough time has passed to make that determination.
Yep, its starting to look more serious than I thought. I'm becoming concerned about the geriatric population and the immune system compromised people. I'm hearing 15% will die (note: 10 deaths in Washington), so far, and a good possibility of it being a much higher %, 20% or more of nursing home patients that could be dying.
We have 1 1/2 million nursing home patients in the U.S.A. and that comes out to a possible 225,000 of our dear elderly, or higher if this becomes wide spread. Then there are cancer patients on chemo (650, 000 at high risk) and people on autoimmune system meds (potentially 23,500,000) that are also at much higher risk.
People with respiratory illnesses over 60 are also at higher risk.
This disease spreads much easier that than the flu. Where 1 person might spread the flu to 9 people, 1 person with Covid-19 would spread it to to 45.
The flu is typically 0.1 death rate but the Covid-19 is current running at 3.4% according to the WHO.
Thank God the children are at lower risk!
I pray this thing doesn't become wide spread...
