Chaplain David Wells was told he could either sign a state-mandated document promising to never tell inmates that homosexuality is “sinful” or else the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice would revoke his credentials.

“We could not sign that paper,” Chaplain Wells told me in a telephone call from his home in Kentucky. “It broke my heart.”

The Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice revoked his volunteer credentials as an ordained minister – ending 13 years of ministry to underage inmates at the Warren County Regional Juvenile Detention Center.

I would have signed it. Homosexuality isn't a sin. Homosexual sex is. Lust is. Fornication is.

The church has built an idol out of homosexuality and most of the time will not even speak the truth as to what the sin actually is.

I wouldn't need to tell anyone that homosexuality is a sin any more than I would need to say that heterosexuality is a sin because Scripture simply doesn't support it.

So what? You knew it was coming. It does not change the truth, and you cannot be defeated because the enemy made a legal score. That is carnal and flesh. We battle spiritual with spiritual, not legal vs legal. Do not think a hand grenade has been thrown into the Christians camp when we have a nuke called the Holy Spirit.
