Perhaps it is disconcerting for those who are hard line when it comes to mixing their Christian faith with right wing Republican politics that Romney lost in spite of the money and effort conservatives contributed to his campaign. But it is the reality. Personally, it would be much more productive, as well as refreshing, for this to be the event that put conservative evangelicals back on the path of a biblical mission and purpose, instead of a political one, but there's so much money invested in people like Ralph Reed that they are going to continue to beat the dead horse as long as it produces for them.
The Bible is pretty clear that the church's mission and purpose will not be accomplished by political means, through worldly power. Put those resources in to preaching the gospel, and things will change.
