The US Senate is a continuity body, where the House is re-organized ever second year.

Here is a list of senators who served during the same period:
    .................................Longest serving
    State..........Year...........Senator........................Junior Senator
    DE..............1789.........Bassett..........................Brown
    KY...............1792.........Brown............................Gaillard
    SC...............1804.........Gaillard.........................King
    AL................1819........King...............................Pearce
    MD..............1843.........Pearce...........................Anthony
    RI................1859.........Anthony.........................Hale
    ME..............1881.........Hale...............................Smith
    SC...............1909........Smith..............................Eastland
    MS...............1943........Eastland.........................Leahy
    VT................1975........Leahy.............................Warnock (current most Jr Senator)

When I came up with this list - I actually did it in reverse - so Leahy, who is currently the most
Senior senator was the most Jr Senator in 1975- when Sen Eastland was the most Senior Senatior and so forth.
Thus Sen Leahy is the 10th generation Senior Senator.
In 1789, Sen Bassett was considered the most Senior Senator as Delaware was consider the
First State as Delware was the first to approve the Current Constitution.

Sen Leahy is Senator # 1692
Sen Warnock is Senator # 1994

Some clearly served, & are serving, too long, or are simply too old. I am 110% for a term limit of 2 for senators, 6 for reps, a total of 12 years for each, consecutive or not.
