The US budget for 2019-2020 was $4.7 Billion.

Bernie Sanders has plans to basically double the spending in the US budget. Here is a graph showing how much his plans would add to the budget.

Bernie is a dangerous fellow. May he never get near the presidency. The problem is that all the Dems are very much like him. May they never again get near the presidency.

It looks like the Democratic Party is going to try to push Bernie Sanders to the side, just like they did in 2016. I wonder if he would react by running as a third party candidate? It looks like Trump should win the election but Sanders splitting the votes of Democrats would really lock up the election for Trump.

Yes, they risk upsetting his followers yet again, even though the Dems have generally moved much farther left, at least for the primaries. Bernie was very much a team player last time, trying very hard to steer his followers toward Hillary. After the election, he and Carter (ex-prez) together derogatorily bemoaned Hillary's loss. My conclusion is that Bernie is not as independent as he likes to appear, not to mention that his love for money is far more than his rhetoric might suggest.

Assuming, of course that he doesn't agree to a "buy out" before re-activating his "I" status!!??:Geek

LOL, there are already cheating with the Berniebros. Mayor Cheat did it in Iowa and the DNC allowed their backup Bloomberg in the debates, changing the rules just for him. They will continue to cheat Bernie.

All they have to do is to make sure Bernie doesn't get 50%, then their superdelegates come into play. The DNC will never allow him to become the nominee, their media is on it:
Bernie Sanders' agenda: Its cost -- possibly $60 trillion -- would set a peacetime US record - CNNPolitics

sound like it could have been written by the National Review. And Bernie won't care, he may get another house out of it. Think he'd lose if he was the nominee for sure, but their leading candidate is a seventy-eight year old self-professed socialist that just had a heart attack.
