The Cubbies

So the Cubs went out and hired Lou Piniella. If you're a diehard Cubs fan, which is pretty much what you have to be to be a Cubs fan, what do you think? Will Lou make a difference in 07? Will the Cubs finally decide to stop pinning their hopes for the seaon on Wood and Prior? Will they make a trade for A-Rod? Do they even have enough to land him, considering that it's highly unlikely they would trade Zambrano? Or, do they do a Zambrano for A-Rod trade and then spend the money to land some quality free-agent pitchers?

BTW, I think the smartest thing Cubs fans have ever done is to stop filling the stands to watch an awful team. Maybe Cubs fans, as a whole, have wised up to the fact that as long as the stands were full, the money wasn't going to be spent to make the team any better.
