The enemies of Jesus are mostly enemies of the Catholic Church, as you can see in almoust all Hollywood movies. Havent you noticed it??

The Da Vinci Code is a clear and simple work of fiction. Nothing more and nothing less. It is getting far more attention that it deserves and is in fact a poorly written fictional novel. Even the film reviews have been non plus and disappointing.

What? That statement is nothing short of a wacky protestant slander. There is no reason to even ask this. There is no proof that protestants are behind this at all. Do you think that protestants WANT the world to think Christ was a fake? This is crazy.

1st...the movie SHOWS nothing. It TRIES to show the CHURCH hidding things....but the WORLD will do anything to attack the truth. Now...the protestants do claim the RCC add to the revelation. But..the RCC also says this. The RCC claims they have a right to do this, for the Pope speaks for God. humm

Other then that...This post is nothing but a attack on protestants.

The Da Vinci Code is a complete farce intended as a fairytale myth for non-Christians.

By contrast the message being sent to ACTUAL Christians to destory Christianity directly comes in the form of liberal theologians stumping for the history channel and those who promote atheist darwinism. Those are REAL programs intended to erode Christianity in direct assault form.

Da Vinci is a joke when it comes to its appeal to actual Christians. It's main appeal is to those who already deny Christ and distrust Christianity in general.

As a Catholic, the book I feel is a work of fantasy or at worst an attack on Christianity.

It commends itself to the public who adore conspiracy theories and pulverises a teaspoon or two of truth with the generous helpings of the molasses of distortion, fabrication and pseudo science.

I have tried to avoid getting involved in any of the mythis of this subject - but now that you mention it. HOW does the movie claim to show the RCC doing something in the life of Christ?

Did you see the movie?? IF so -- "why see it"??

Having said that - I think it is a great discussion tool to use with non-Christians since it is already out there!

I agree. We need to take all opportunities and use all means to share the TRUTH. If people do see the movie they may come to us asking somethings, or maybe even to wanting to SHOW us we are wrong. Whatever the case, this could open doors to tell the truth.

Da Vinci Code is getting far to much press and as others here have stated it's just fiction; fiction which is implausible throughout most of it. I will say this if Brown didn't attack Christ but just attacked the Roman Church many on this board would have applauded this movie. However I don't think this is just another Protestant attack on the RC. If it was it wouldn't have attacked our Saviour Jesus Christ.

hey all.

i heard today that a church down on the west-canada coast took the initiative to go into the theatre and steal the lens' so that The DaVinci Code would not beable to play...

i think that the protests of these professing christians are making the unbelievers think there's more to the davinci code then meets the eye... like "maybe there's come truth in it that they didn't want to get out..." - which is what one of my classmates said earlier.

which makes me think its a conspiracy theory on the part of the vatican - i think it's all headed up by the vatican...

that's just my opinion though...
