Here is the news report...

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama had just started a spirited defense of his economic stimulus plan on Monday when one of his teleprompter screens came loose, crashed to the floor and shattered into pieces.
The gadget's fall surprised Obama, who uses a teleprompter during most speeches and even brief remarks. The glass plate displaying his speech hit the floor in the auditorium of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, a massive building within the White House compound.
"Oh, goodness," Obama said. "Sorry about that, guys."
The audience -- administration officials, mayors and urban policy experts -- laughed as Obama went back to his text. To finish his 11-minute remarks calling for a new policy toward the nation's cities and metropolitan areas, he used notes and the remaining teleprompter screen.
Obama has been criticized for relying too heavily on his teleprompter for routine remarks and the device has become jokingly known as "TOTUS."

I was intrigued by Obama's quotes about the situation:

uuh....aaahm...errr...ummm...yes, we can!

If I could write a news story about the situation it would start out...

"Today, silence fell across Washington DC...."

And include this...

"The Whitehouse is silent about the crisis..."

I only wish the same thing would happen to the teleprompters at CNN, FOX, and MSNBC. Then the general lack of knowledge of their "experts" would be revealed.

Who knows! Maybe some prayers are being answered in a very unique manner!!??:tongue3:

Now all that's needed is for the gullible to open their eyes and react accordingly - think there's any hope for this???

(Based on the "0"s support seen on this board, it's highly doubtful - but remotely possible!)

It reminded me of a good story, years ago we had a preacher in town doing a revival. He was a manuscript preacher and all week he preached about 2 hours a night. We went to close out the revival on Sunday evening and many of us was praying and dreading another 2 hour sermon since he was about 2.5 hours that morning at 11AM.

The swamp cooler went out in the Church and boy did it get hot and stuffy so my dad had the deacons open some windows just as the preacher was getting up. You bet the Lord answers prayers, a wind came through the Church and all but two pages of his manuscript went out the window never to be seen (or heard) again. I think the entire Church (except him) lip synced "thank you Jesus" simultaneously...

I guess Obama still had note on the podium so he didn't miss much of a beat... Love a man with a plan B.
