It appears that early reviews put the audience near 100 million. The question is, were you one of the 100 million, and more importantly did you think there was a clear winner?

I think Trump missed numerous opportunities to take her to the task, but, at the same time, he did not fall to her attempts to draw out his old, GOP candidates rhetoric and namecalling. So, that was a check in victiry box. Still, he has two more chances to take her down, with Benghazi, emails and her foundation scandal, and let's hope he is allowed by his handlers to be more Trump like, and pounce on her like a mouse hungry, alley cat, that can fight.

That is my view, let's hear yours?! Shalom! ;)

I watched the whole debate. Clinton won. Trump was:

  1. Completely unprepared.
  2. Repeated the same thing over and over and over, ad nauseam
  3. Trump basically gave his campaign speech over and over
  4. Trump was extremely short on details
  5. Trump hurt himself with his asides, such as admitting he had not paid the architect
  6. Sadly he repeated a number of his proves lies
  7. Refused to admit he continued his birthism even after the birth certificate was released
  8. His <SNIFF> made <SNIFF> Hillary <SNIFF> look <SNIFF> healthy. <SNIFF><SNIFF><SNIFF>
Hillary came prepared. Like her or hate her she came prepared.

I recorded the debate and watching it for the 2nd time this morning Trump comes off even worse than last night. When put on the defense, he walked into several Hillary set traps, he appears very sophomoric. Many of his asides make him sound like a grumpy teenager.

Donald Trump held his tongue, intentionally I might add, far more than he needed to. Hillary stood there lied and misrepresented. That woman would rather climb a tree and tell a lie than stand on the ground and tell the truth.

No Hillary there are no facts nor are there any intelligence reports that say Iran "weeks" away from having a bomb. Further, Democrats were denying they were even trying to build a bomb.

No Hillary you were not against the TPP in fact you called it the "Gold Standard".

She showed a complete lack of knowledge on job creation and even liberal fact checkers are calling her on this one.

I don't think Donald Trump held his tongue - I just don't think he thought about saying anything, didn't think to respond to things she said and he totally missed addressing things that were brought up. She spoke of cyber-security. Why didn't he drill that? That was an easy thing to address but he didn't say a word. I just don't think he's prepared enough or I hate to say it - smart enough? Organized enough? He just didn't have the facts in his head at all! He was more like a 5 year old kid arguing rather than a man who is running for president.

As debates go (the debate itself, not the positions), I thought Trump came up the winner on the first topic, but Clinton took the rest of the debate. There was one time when Trump seemed (IMHO) to be caught in a loop - he just said the same thing over and over in a circular fashion, he often talked around the questions (they both did to an extent, but Trump's was obvious....maybe because he's not a politician?), and I think that Clinton ended up getting the best of him.

For example, when she "challenged" Trump's business skills she also said that there is a difference in running a successful business and running a government (she challenged the correlation that Trump held as his qualification as a viable candidate). Trump went on the offensive (I think she knew he would) about his successes but never engaged the larger challenge (I don't think he even noticed the real challenge because he was too occupied defending his past successes).

That said, I am probably a bit more inclined to vote from Trump that I would have been a week ago.

Trump did OK for someone debating 2 people, but he missed some golden opportunities.

Trump dominated the first 30 min or so but than Clinton got under his skin and he got more and more incoherent after that. He was more concerned with defending himself, and bragging about not paying taxes than he was with attacking her. Clinton knew where to hit him, and he failed to hit back. He was given a golden opportunity to hit her on emails and he decided that talking about his taxes was a better use of his time. She missed some knock out as well but didn't inflict any damage to herself either. What was clear is that Trump's "debate" style that worked with 10 candidate on stage doesn't translate to only 2 on the stage.

IMO, there was no winner. In fact "content" was secondary to what this debate was really all about.

It was showmanship, charisma and persona projection.
I am old enough to remember the similar Kennedy/Nixon stage performances in which Kennedy came across as a much more likeable guy than Nixon.

So last night we had two narcissists. one male one female personae.

Hillary stood up to Trump's attacks with obviously well rehearsed responses.
She knew full well what was coming, then she went on the attack.

Again, obviously well rehearsed and with precision along with nearly flawless diction without too much of her usual flailing of the arms, also a minimum (almost none) of her senior citizen type shrieking.

In respect to debate technical performance she out did the Donald.

However - and its a big however.
Trump came across as a free-as-the-wind non-establishment guy.

Yes he verbally stumbled around and repeated over and over his several strong anti-establishment talking points (as well he should) but he did it ad-lib.

The left still has not learned that this what THEY (THE SHEEPLE) LOVE about him.

He's older than Hillary but acts much younger and freer than Hillary.
He is considered much more honest and reliable than Hillary
He shows up with FAMILY big-time - kids, grandkids...
Hillary hides in her woman-cave coming out at the appropriate time.

My guess is that he will gain another delta increment of the undecided.

IMO, his momentum is unimpeded and my prediction - he will gain another point or two but only after Hillary's apparent "victory" of precision and flawless presentation and responses which of course will be cried from the left press mountain tops in the hope to persuade we the sheeple to run after her.

However because of cable TV and the internet, phone cameras, YouTube, etc, the sheeple are able to hear other voices and see other events uncensored by the press.. e.g. "What do we want", "dead cops", the Benghazi fiasco from the voices of the relatives,... etc... , events which would have been much easier to suppress and hide a generation ago.

Because he is so blatantly and honestly anti-establishment he appeals to the masses which charisma he certainly demonstrated last night.

I was impressed that Hillary could remember everything Trump has said and done in the past considering she couldn't recall, didn't remember what she herself said/did in the past during her FBI interview.

Awesome analysis! I believe you are right. The sheeple want a nonrehersed leader that comes acroos as down to earth.

^ This right here. ^

The cyber security question was a softball lobbed over the plate by Lester Holt and Trump let it go by. How could he not tie in her private server debacle with the cyber security issue? It's inexplicable. Instead he poo-poos Russia's involvement in hacking the US and brings up that dumb line about hackers being "400 lb. guys sitting on beds" and how unbelievably good his 10 year old son is with computers. It was a knockout punch opportunity and he blew it.

Clinton's allegation that Trump denigrates women was just waiting to be swatted down with the way Bill and Hillary attacked and smeared women in the 90's that accused Bill of sexual harassment. Trump could have brought up the fact that he's hired hundreds of women, talked about the executive positions he's given them--his campaign director is a woman!-- but he blew it.

Anyway, to answer the question. Hillary "won" the debate in so far as she actually answered questions, kept her composure, looked prepared, scored the most points, and didn't let opportunities slip by.
