The Duration of Solomon's Wealth

Solomon started out pretty good and ended up the richest and wisest man on planet earth bringing in all kinds of wealth and fame. Until he prospered. Next thing you know….

1 But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites:
2 Of which the Lord said, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.
3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart. – 1 Kings 11

I can imagine whole harems where everything was a party and a love nest. Bringing little attention to child rearing his son Rehoboam and the king of Israel Jeroboam turned out terrible men. It sounds like they followed Solomon in the many wives and partying harem life (in which the woman were only meant to be party girls). And mentioning the worshiping of other Gods, or basic demonic spirits, turned the land into a demonic led party scene. What did the Lord do?

25 And it came to pass in the fifth year of king Rehoboam, that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem:
26 And he took away the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king's house; he even took away all: and he took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had made. – 1 Kings 14

What was God’s reaction? Most of the wealth of Solomon ended up carted away to Egypt just six years after his death!
