Why are we so messeed up as adults? Because we watched the Sesame Street of old where Cookie Monster ate cookies, Oscar the Grouch was a grouch and where adults could befriend kids for the sake of befriending kids.

Thankfully our kids can have the "new" and "improved" Sesame Street where you can see some of the visiting friends who are very vocal about their homosexuality, where Bert and Ernie's relationship is questionable. and "tolerance" should be observed...right?!?! :BangHead:

Um... ok. All I know is, Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, The Electric Company and 3-2-1 Contact are good reasons why I enjoyed school up through Junior High. And I was able to read when I went to Preschool.

I would never have thought Sesame Street's origins would be considered controversial. Man, there are some hypersensitive people out there.

Better wake up Timmy. Barney is a Communist plot, and Mr. Potatohead is controled the Islamic radicals.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I've always felt that Bert and Ernie's relationship was only questionable in the minds of vulgar comedians and people who like to make sport of what is innocent.

Also, and I may be wrong on this, too, but weren't they named after the two male friends on It's a Wonderful Life - Bert and Ernie, the cop and the taxi cab driver? Or is that an urban legend?

I had my very first crush on Kermit. I also learned my alphabet watching the show. When Jim Henson died, so did the show.

    love,

Mr. Potato head is a plot to get kids on drugs. His name can be abbreviated...

    Mr. Pot. Head

Let's not forget Barney the dinosaur. I'm sure they'll find something horrible to say about him besides the show's annoying theme song, which (gasp) encourages hugs and kisses.

Obviously an attempt to promote the gay agenda and promiscuous behavior in our children.

I have always been glad I was (at least I thought) too old for Sesame Street when it began. I did watch Captain Kangaroo some, and on looking back, that 'Treasure House' was a male hotbed-- the Captain, Mr. Moose, Grandfather Clock, and definitely Mr. Green Jeans; and the connotation of those pingpong balls and Bunny Rabbit's carrots.... man, I tell you.... did they think we who watched that junk would never come around to it?

Wrong about Barney...he is actually the antichrist, see the following:
The Romans had no letter 'U', and used 'V' instead for
printing, meaning the Roman representation would for
Barney would be: CVTE PVRPLE DINOSAVR

    CVTE PVRPLE DINOSAVR

Extracting the Roman numerals, we have:
    CV V L DI V

    And their decimal equivalents are:
    100 5 5 50 500 1 5

    Adding those numbers produces: 666.

666 is the number of the Beast.
