Was thinking about a couple of things the other day.

1) When the passover took place - do you think that some of the Egyptians followed the command of the passover?

2) Do you think that all the Children of Israel left with Moses as they departed Egypt?

I have had the same question before but never really looked into it. The sheer numbers of population would make it seem as if both were possible. Have historians not commented on this I wonder?

Exo. 12:37 And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children. 38 And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.

Exodus 12 begins with command to "share" the lamb/blood with neighbors. Neighbor = citizen, resident and not the often-used term for sojourner (as Israelis often identified themselves)

Since Egyptians who believe in YHWH left with the Israelis I think we can assume some participating in the Passover rituals
