The Federal Military Budget

    Where could Congress reasonably cut the military budget?


    Should single parents be allowed to stay in the military?
    Does a single parent cause unnecessary costs and disruption of military life?

    Should dependents be authorized to travel overseas tours with their sponsor?
    If so - should that long tour be shortened to 12 or 18 months?

    Why should tours be for the military sponsor only?
    the cost of shipping HHG overseas, as well as storage of major House hold items (refrigerators, ect) the cost of issuing family furniture,
    The cost of maintaining schools, commissaries, cost of supplying the PX, and ect.

    We could cut bases around the world.

    Trump tried to cut bases in Syria out by leaving, but the US is stealing Syrian oil so the pentagon disobeyed their commander in chief. Trump tried to leave Iraq and Afghanistan. Tried to cut cost with NATO, make them pay for their own defense, but the US hegemony crowd would rather spend the money to surround our enemies, that is countries that we do not control. Like Russia and China. We have them hemmed in with military bases around the world.

    How about bringing our forces home from Taiwan, South Korea, Germany, etc. The practice of putting the lives of some troops at risk to provide assurance of mutual defense is unnecessary. In the post Christian culture of America, the government's word is worthless.
