The gifts of the Spirit

I am a Cessationist and believe that the supernatural gifts have ceased (tongues, healings, miracles). However the other gifts I believe are still active and I have the gifts of teaching, exhortation/encouragement, prophecy, discernment, and knowledge. However it seems that the gifts of the spirit are completely shunned at many Fundamentalist churches including my own for some reason. Perhaps I am incorrect, but I never hear them being preached, and no one ever talks about the gifts. Can someone give me the name of this position in theology? This position is not that of a Cessationist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cessationism).

I'd say that if you have learned to not be "carnal" and are "spiritual" then you will have "the mind of Christ" [I Cor 2:16]
and will have insight, intuition, wisdom, knowledge - as well as understanding the Word - that a self-directed "carnal" Christian does not have.
As for the "tongues and miracles", I haven't seen any genuine evidence myself - but I never completely rule out what the H.S. can do.

Living the Ego-centered "old man" life will not open up your spiritual abilities. Jesus had these "abilities", study them.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Rom 8:1,2,4,6

Huh? Am I missing something here? Are you casting a stone at me with this remark "Living the Ego-centered "old man" life will not open up your spiritual abilities. Jesus had these "abilities", study them?" If so why cast this stone?

i am a "bapticostalist", in the same sense as say a Dr wayne grudem would be...

So realise that there ARE differences even among those of us who say that the Gifts did NOT cease after Apostolic Age...

One camp says they still function, but MUST be in biblical order, and CANNOT be revelatory, not in addition to the Scriptures, as they ALONE are the inspired infallible guide from God to us...

others say that Apostles/prophets still for today in church, and that God indeed speaks through them to the Church as additional revelation, known as word of faith/prosperity etc

i call them all heretics!
