FAQ

Why 100% clean and renewable and not just 100% renewable?

Are you saying we won’t transition off fossil fuels? Yes, we are calling for a full transition off fossil fuels and zero greenhouse gases. Anyone who has read the resolution sees that we spell this out through a plan that calls for eliminating greenhouse gas emissions from every sector of the economy. Simply banning fossil fuels immediately won’t build the new economy to replace it – this is the plan to build that new economy and spells out how to do it technically. We do this through a huge mobilization to create the renewable energy economy as fast as possible. We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast, but we think we can ramp up renewable manufacturing and power production, retrofit every building in America, build the smart grid, overhaul transportation and agriculture, plant lots of trees and restore our ecosystem to get to net-zero.

But, but, but...
The Biblical Values of Ocasio-Cortez’s Democratic Socialism is better than sliced bread!

BTW, I found a draft text of the Green New Deal the other day HERE.

"The Bible and democratic socialism preach that governments should enact policies that address the needs of the poor, provide equal access to opportunity, and legislate policies that curb inequity. Both believe that any government that ignores the interests of the poor is an unjust government in need of correction. As King put it, “The curse of poverty has no justification in our age. It is socially as cruel and blind as the practice of cannibalism …”

The Bible "preaches" no such thing.

Just like the Green new deal, itself, it's all based on lies and pie in the sky.

According to The Daily Grind, even Pelosi isn't a fan!
AOC’s proposal is “[one of] many suggestions that we receive,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. “The green dream or whatever they call it, nobody knows what it is, but they’re for it right?”

Oh come on AOC, what about the rest of the world!?

China, India and other major polluters of the world who completely overshadow us (literally) with pollution (land, air and sea)?

What about the millions of wildebeests and other flatulent animals in Africa? Plow them under?

VERY NEARSIGHTED.

PLEASE have the Dems run on this agenda in 2020!

The resolution calls for “10-year national mobilizations” to fighting global warming by eliminating all carbon dioxide emissions
Lindsey Graham Calls For A Vote On The ‘Green New Deal,’ But Not Because He Supports It

Now if Ocasio-Cortez and her cohorts were to hold their breath for ten years, that would be something worthwhile. If passed, it might even be worth voting to renew such a bill, and whatever was needed to enforce it, if necessary.

How will you pay for it?

The same way we paid for the New Deal, the 2008 bank bailout and extended quantitative easing programs. The same way we paid for World War II and all our current wars. The Federal Reserve can extend credit to power these projects and investments and new public banks can be created to extend credit. There is also space for the government to take an equity stake in projects to get a return on investment. At the end of the day, this is an investment in our economy that should grow our wealth as a nation, so the question isn’t how will we pay for it, but what will we do with our new shared prosperity.

OK, I've stopped laughing long enough to ask just what they mean by creating "new public banks." It sounds ominous, or worse. What would be the source of this money?

All CO2 emissions? Does that mean exhaling will become illegal? Or that we all must wear carbon-scrubber masks?
